Exotic Review : Bad Juju

Bad Juju

“If you believe your weapon wants to murder all existence, then so it will.” – Toland the Shattered

Lore
Toland the Shattered was a Warlock of the Tower who was quite interested in the Darkness and how it functioned as an independent entity. However the knowledge he gained and his seemingly relentless ambition caused him to be banished from the Tower by the Vanguard. However Toland had compiled a journal throughout his travels about his encounters with the Darkness and its minions. This journal was sought out by Warlocks everywhere and within it contained a design for the Bad Juju. The gun while being modified by Toland still required the light of defeated Guardians to power the frame and that explains the green mist that seeps out of the bird skull.

Performance
The Bad Juju is quite a solid pulse rifle. It has a rapid fire rate and it is able to fire in full auto which turns it into quite a powerhouse. The impact isn’t the highest on this gun but with the full auto mode, it is able to take out higher level enemies without much difficultly. The exotic perk on this gun is known as String of Curses which causes the gun to reload instantly and increase its damage output for a short time. On top of this scoring kills with this gun will assist in charging your Super.

Aesthetics
This gun is amazing, aesthetically with its obvious modifications that make it look like a deranged madman had created it and that may not be wrong. The bird skull presents an aura of ritual animal sacrifice in order to present the gun with its dark energies. These bones coupled with the horns and spikes towards the back of the gun make it seem unfriendly and imposing in the face of both allies and enemies. It turns the Darkness back on itself.

How to Acquire it?
The Bad Juju can be gained from an exotic primary engram or purchasing it from Xur if you are lucky enough for him to have it in his inventory.
