Exotic Review : Impossible Machines

“The dead come for these, but the dead should not have them.” – Crumpled note pinned in the clasp

Performance
The Impossible Machines are a cool little exotic designed for the Warlock who embraces the Dark side of the Force and goes around zapping everything with bolts of Lightning. A Stormcaller who wears these gauntlets will not need to select the perk known as Landfall due to it being granted by the Impossible Machines exotic perk, known as Lightning Rod. If your Warlock has not mastered the art of manipulating arc energy and Landfall has not become available to you then wearing the Impossible Machines will unlock that perk for free. Landfall allows your Warlock to shoot a devastating shockwave of lightning down underneath you upon Super activation and can be a deadly first strike before your Stormcaller is truly un-tethered.

Aesthetics
This exotic has elements from the beginning of electrical innovation. The apparent copper coils surrounding the forearm make the Impossible Machines wondrously interesting and showcase the ability to channel electricity through the fingertips. Coupled with this the electrodes that are attached to the hands of the gauntlets appear to be both channeling and drawing energy from within the Warlock in an obviously successful attempt to discharge it through the arms. The arc energy that spirals and dashes over the forearms also present an aura of danger that will keep most minions of the Darkness and other Guardians at bay.

How to Acquire it?
The Impossible Machines can be gained from an exotic gauntlet engram or purchasing it from Xur if you are lucky enough for him to have it in his inventory.
