Exotic Review : Skyburners Annex

“To die twice in a strange land : first by Oryx’s hand, then by yours.” 

This exotic helmet is quite general and can be utilised with any Hunter subclass. The Skyburners Annex is designed to generate both orbs and ammo in order for you to continue your fight. It can be a fabulous exotic if you find yourself either using heavy ammo quite often or even running out of special quite rapidly. Its exotic perk, Versatile Shooter, gives your Guardian a chance to generate orbs upon heavy ammo kills. Coupled with this, collecting orbs has a chance to grant special ammo. The potential to generate orbs on heavy kills is only really beneficial when playing in a game mode where you are part of a fireteam, such as strikes. However the ability to gain special ammo on orb pickups can be ideal for both PVP and PVE.

This helmet has a cool design that is reminiscent of the Taken that we battled all throughout the Taken King. The colour and speckled design makes your Guardian look slightly Taken which fits with the description, as being Taken would have to be like losing yourself and so dying the first time. And then the Guardians come along and eliminate the Taken – they never really get a break do they? The circles that are present all over the helmet represent a simplistic design for a simplistic existence of fighting and surviving or even a will that is not entirely your own.

How to Acquire it?
The Skyburners Annex can be gained from an exotic helmet engram or purchasing it from Xur if you are lucky enough for him to have it in his inventory.
