No ammo? No problem.
The No Backup Plans are designed for a Defender Titan that firstly utilises Shotguns and secondly enjoys using the benefits conferred by Force Barrier. The exotic perk, Force Multiplier allows any Shotgun kills you may score trigger the activation of Force Barrier and the duration of Force Barrier is increased. Force Barrier is a Defenders weaker shield that is often triggered by melee attacks. Having it available for use when gaining Shotgun kills is a great boon, due to the need of additional shielding when rushing in close with an enemy and taking them out at point blank. No Backup Plans has your back, with your Force Barrier shield going up the second you gain that initial kill. On top of this, the extended duration of Force Barrier will allow you to get the most out of both the additional armour as well as the perks that you have selected in association with it. In regards to where this exotic will be best utilised, it is a perfect addition in both PVE and PVP for exactly the reasons outlined above. Just be sure to actually score that initial Shotgun kill or you could be stuck considering alternate options while waiting for a Ghost resurrection.
The main draw to this exotic is that it appears to be formed out of mismatched pieces of void light with the same colour and consistency of the Force Barrier that it boosts. It appears that some powerful Guardian had found a way to make some of the stoic void power stay permanently and function as a removable piece of armour. The No Backup Plans consists of three rings that encircle the upper arm, a vambrace to cover the forearm and a kind of knuckle/back of the hand guard . It also appears that the void light has details within it that resemble normal tangible armour so maybe plain Titan armour served as a base for the unstable void energy.
How to Acquire it?
The No Backup Plans can be gained from an exotic gauntlet engram or purchasing it from Xur if you are lucky enough for him to have it in his inventory.
