Exotic Review : No Land Beyond

Every hit blazes the path to our reclamation.

Lore
There have been rumours and stories of this weapons existence throughout the world of the Legions of Light. These stories have sent many Guardians clamouring throughout the corners of Old Russia to find this legend. Where did it come from? Some believe that its origins predate the Golden Age wherein it helped break humanity out of an endless cycle of war. While others believe that it is a relic of the Golden Age in honour of the Sniper, out in the frontier with nothing and no one to rely on but the steady, solid feeling of the long rifle underneath your hands. They nest in the places where the enemy cannot see and they trust in the power of calm, knowing that in the end, there is no where to fall back to.

Performance
This beautifully crafted sniper rifle is designed for those Guardians who wait for the absolute perfect shot and fire, leaving no room for error and so putting down all who oppose you. No Land Beyond holds the perk, Primary Care which allows this sniper rifle to be equipped in the primary weapon slot. This allows your Guardian to run into battle with two sniper rifles, or a rifle and a shotgun which is a truly formidable combo. The main exotic perk that No Land Beyond holds is known as, The Master which boosts precision damage and every kill briefly boosts precision damage against your next target. In a lot of ways, you will only get the full range of power from this weapon if you go for those precision shots. If not, it is a waste of an exotic slot. In the Crucible this weapon is quite powerful when utilised correctly, as it has almost maxed out range and a significantly high impact. This is coupled with The Master to ensure that if you take the time to score those precision hits, your target will be neutralised every time. In PVE however, you may see quite a reduction in this weapons effectiveness. This mostly comes from No Land Beyonds bolt action reload which has to occur after each shot fired. This slows down your fire rate greatly and while going for those precision kills ensures that each shot fired counts, in a PVE setting, there may be too many enemies that they may overwhelm your efforts. However this is not to say that it is impossible to use in PVE, just that it will be a slower method of fighting the Darkness and from optimally far ranges.

Aesthetic
This exotic takes design elements back to the basics, with wood and metal, albeit high strength and wondrous materials. No Land Beyond has a very long barrel and the sights are a simple iron sight. No technologically advanced tracking systems for this weapon, just a steady hand and true aim. The main body of No Land Beyond appears to be made of or at least covered with a high end wood such as Mahogany which shows how much care and love has gone into this exotics crafting. On top of this the bolt action lever is present on the side which when used, will eject the old bullet canister out of the slot just underneath the scope. This weapon is old school design but handles and is built like new school.

How to Acquire it?
The No Land Beyond can be gained from an exotic primary engram or purchasing it from Xur if you are lucky enough for him to have it in his inventory.
