Another Champion has been revealed for Paladins: Champions of the Realm and she definitely is one of the more darker characters, steeped in mystery and a little bit of creepiness. I love it!!
Now this new character known as Seris is another support character that will be a strong contender for one of the main supports played in upcoming games. Her main weapon is known as Soul Orb, and consists of a series of purple bubbles of energy fired out of her right hand. These Soul Orbs can pass through multiple enemies and grants each target hit, a stack that can apply up to 4x. This weapon is immensely powerful and will do well to scatter those tight-knit teams that are always bunched up.
One of the drawbacks to her attack is that you have to hold down the attack button and go through a short delay before the Soul Orbs are rapidly fired out. In this regard, it gives opponents a chance to counter attack.
Now those stacks that she applies with Soul Orb can be detonated with a move known as Rend Soul. She simply detonates any and all stacks which deal 100 damage per stack and also heals Seris for 15% of her maximum health.
In regards to her support capability, she is a healer at heart, and her only healing ability is quite effective. Known as Restore Soul (I am seeing a pattern here), she can heal any ally for 1000 health per second every 2 seconds. On top of that, it has an insanely quick cooldown, literally a couple of seconds, meaning you can spend an entire match healing your team while not damaging which is a gameplay choice for you to make.
Her excellent healing or damage capabilities will definitely make her a target which is the perfect time to use her mobility ability, called Shadow Travel, which takes her to another shadowy plane of reality for five seconds, rendering her invulnerable to all harmful effects.
Finally, we have her Ultimate entitled Convergence. Seris takes that lovely lantern she is carrying around known as her Soul Core and tosses it into the battlefield. After a short cooldown, a rift in reality appears and all nearby enemy players are pulled into it, allowing Seris and her allies to deal easy damage.
Seris the Oracle will be arriving in the OB48 patch that will hopefully be arriving soon for PC and consoles. We may finally have a support that can knock Mal’damba off his lofty perch.
