The sixth DLC has been announced for Titanfall 2, known as The War Games. There is no trailer for this new update, as of yet, but it will arrive on the 27th of June, coincidentally the launch of The War Games.
The main addition is the map known as War Games which is reminiscent of a Pilot training simulation. War Games features highlighted wall running routes, tall buildings for window-to-window fighting and civilian shops for close quarters combat. The outskirts of this map will be ideal for Titan battles while the interior of the map will be the domain of the Pilot.
There will also be a new Live Fire map known as Traffic, which adds a new challenge to the ever-present danger of Titan and Pilot combat…traffic. Mobility will be key as Pilots battle over two busy thoroughfares. While there is no footage of this currently I would assume that we get to fight amongst moving traffic which is awesome.
Pilots will also be gaining a third weapon slot, meaning we can now equip a Primary, Secondary and Anti-Titan weapon, whereas now we are able to equip a Secondary weapon into our Primary slot. This will lead to a lot more diversity in weapon loadouts. On top of this, a new execution will be arriving into our arsenal. Known as Shadow Boxing, it will be unlockable by accumulating a total of 20 kills while the Holopilot ability is active. However, the kills will not be tracked retroactively, meaning that everyone starts from scratch when The War Games update goes live.
The War Games DLC for Titanfall 2 will be released on June 27th for free, as is the case with all updates for this game. More details will be revealed in the Patch Notes which will be released with the launch of the update. Stay tuned.
