Pokemon UltraSun/UltraMoon

Giovanni Is Back Alongside Other Pokemon Bosses In Pokemon UltraSun And UltraMoon

Pokemon UltraSun and Pokemon UltraMoon promise to deliver a whole lot of awesome new content for fans both new and old, especially when it comes to the triumphant return of the OG Pokemon boss, hailing from the games that started this wonderful twenty-year franchise.

That’s right Giovanni is back, as the head of Team Rainbow Rocket (gotta love the Pride!) and he isn’t alone, bringing with him, in the official words of the latest trailer, “20 years of villainy”.

Powerful gang bosses have converged under the strength and leadership of Giovanni for some sinister purpose in the Alola region. Team Aqua’s Archie, Team Magma’s Maxie, Team Galactic’s Cyrus, Team Plasma’s Ghetsis, Team Flare’s Lysandre and the Aether Foundation’s Faba are here to challenge you. This is going to be one tough fight, especially if Giovanni is going to be rocking up with Mewtwo!!

But I’ll tell you, I am all for the Rainbow Rocket uniforms. Sign me up! I wanted to join Team Rocket when I first played Pokemon Red and that has not changed!

Legendary Pokemon

Since I mentioned Mewtwo, I should also mention that ALMOST EVERY SINGLE LEGENDARY POKEMON WILL BE ACQUIRABLE IN THE GAME! With the ever consistent Pokemon differences between the versions, both UltraSun and UltraMoon hold a whole lot of awesome Pokemon you will be able to catch.

These Pokemon will be found through the Ultra Wormholes which will allow you to travel to alternate dimensions and worlds, where you will find not only Ultra beasts but these powerful Legendary beings. Some of these Legendary Pokemon require special conditions to be met before they will appear, for example, to find Suicune you must have both Raikou and Entei in your party, which will make trading a little more essential. Or you can just buy both versions.

Finally, we have the Battle Agency, a battling fashion show with a twist. You can enter this special arena equipped with special Agent sunglasses, which do not really suit my style, to be honest, and engage in single Pokemon battles. The twist? You are able to rent Pokemon for the duration of the battle and attempt to KO three of your opponents Pokemon in order to shoot up the ranks.

The amount of different Pokemon available to rent will increase as you mingle with other players and increase your rank, so it really encourages communication and friend-making in a sense. The trailer showed off a Thunderus getting borrowed for an Agency battle so it isn’t too much to assume that there would be other awesome Legendary Pokemon to rent as well.

Pokemon UltraMoon and Pokemon UltraSun is scheduled for release on the 17th, November 2017 (just under a week before my birthday) and it is going to be a great addition to the franchise.
