Following the release of the latest Elder Scrolls Online expansion, titled Summerset, Bethesda has announced that the second half of 2018 will unveil two new adventures for players to embark on.
While they will not be on the same scale as Summerset and Morrowind, both Wolfhunter and Murkmire will add new challenges, loot and lore to the game. Wolfhunter, which is the smaller of the two DLCs revolves, as you can probably guess, around the lycanthropic curse of the werewolves. In the Elder Scrolls universe, werewolves were gifted with a blessing from the Daedric Prince Hircine, allowing them to take the ferocious form of an anthropomorphic wolf.
Wolfhunter will add two new group dungeons; Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices which, while they will play host to two very different environments, the overarching theme will be surrounding the werewolves and on top of all this, players will come face to face with Hircine himself.
Murkmire, on the other hand, is ESO’s next zone and story expansion bringing with it an intriguing storyline about uncovering the secrets of the Hist. Players will travel to the home of the Argonians, known as Black Marsh to battle against fearsome World Bosses, conquer Delves and of course slice through any who stand in their way.
Both Murkmire and Wolfhunter will be available to all with an active ESO Plus membership, as well as being available for direct purchase. Both expansions will arrive in the second half of 2018, and undoubtedly we will get a greater taste of what is to be discovered sooner rather than later.
