Dead Cells inspires joy through the random configuration of weapons and the challenges each one poses to your chosen playstyle as you battle your way through endless waves of foes.
But the Custom Game mode allows players to configure their starting equipment to have their favourite combo of weaponry right from the get go. But that’s not all, as you can also customise your timer and add/remove differing gameplay elements to truly make the run your own.
The flip side of this roguelite coin is that the Custom Games mode will unlock every single weapon, Mutation and Skill in the game. It may spoil the main game if you prefer to unlock everything over time.
And for those of you who like a challenge, or who have just played a lot of Dead Cells, killing 60 enemies without being hit (just 30 on the first level) supplies you with additional Cells, Gold and powerful weapon unlocks that will provide a distinct advantage when facing later bosses.
This update is currently in beta, and while the above are the headline changes, there are many more in this particular pipeline. Now get ready to challenge your friends (and your personal bests) when Custom Games launches in the next week or so.
